Speaker 1:It's been a minute, though, but we're glad to talk to you again, give you another juicy episode. Things has been Busy on our end, been kinda crazy, been a crazy set of couple of weeks actually.

Speaker 1:So been a little bit of a quiet um set of weeks, actually not too much going on in the news space, so we don't really have too much news for y'all.
Speaker 2:We got some topics though yeah, I was gonna talk about ubisoft, but let's just let them tank in peace, anyone. They're really doing that bad. Yeah, it's been pretty bad, like they're cutting games and stuff and the delays for all the major titles they got coming up dang.
Speaker 1:Yeah, like assassin's creed got delayed, they canceled heartlands oh, wait a minute, I keep forgetting assassin's creed um following japan, right got delayed, division projects got canceled.
Speaker 2:Bunch of stuff. What?

Speaker 2:No, it's supposed to be a free-to-play open world like VR-style division game. Really. Mm-hmm. Called. Heartlands Canceled it. It was supposed to come out this fall.

Speaker 2:It changes the game. It's very interactive. I'm enjoying it so far. It's not like making me play the game every day, but if I feel like playing something like that, I'll play something like that now no, I see on crazy news crazy, not crazy pretty crazy I like crazy so I don't know if you have been hearing about crunchyroll and their voice actors, or a voice actor from frankie you're gonna talk about frankie frankie was it frankie's voice?

Speaker 1:Okay, so voice actor David Wald leaving Crunchyroll over, apparently allegedly Crunchyroll has been tampering with mail, his mail, his mail. He's been missing out on a whole bunch of letters and stuff like from fans and stuff like that fan mail and things like that. Whatever they over there giving to him stuff like that. He's been missing out on a whole bunch of them saying crunchy rose over here. Um, messing around with that stuff. Apparently a whole bunch of like things like posters, uh, memorabilia and stuff like that that fans are usually would send over there to like the voice actors and stuff like that and he's like the voice actor for a bunch of different people. He did god jail uh, he was doing god jail recently in um fairy tale left that he was also. Um, what's the metal dude from my Hero, tetsu Tetsu I think so yeah.
Speaker 1:And he was also Names drawn. I'm forgetting, though, but he was also from Attack on Titan, the dude who, the scout who took Eren away from when Eren Amikasa oh the cowboy dude. Cowboy.
Speaker 2:Took Eren Amikasa away.
Speaker 1:Like in the first episode, he was like um oh, I don't remember. That was a long time ago anyway, he was up on there, he was an attack on titan.
Speaker 1:Yeah, let's go with that and he had a whole bunch of other stuff that he was good on. Anyway, he was pretty much spoke out saying that um has been. He's blowing the whistle of allegations, talking about stealing his fan mail that was addressed to him, and apparently they're taking a lot of the stuff that the fans was giving him and distributing it to the employees Crazy. We're talking about giving posters giving like posters, signed posters, all that other stuff, like just giving it away over there to the um, to the what you call it, to the employees and whatnot. Employees obviously not figuring out what's going on. They're just thinking like, okay, hey, I'm getting just free shit and whatnot.
Speaker 1:That's grimy, crazy and also a crazy way. Way, I forgot how he figured out that um, they was tampering it. I mean how he found um, how he got to it, though, but yeah, he ended up leaving them and whatnot. And now it just brought like a whole bunch of slew where a whole bunch of little voice actors kind of just coming on out there talking about their own piece and whatnot and dealing with crunchy roll and like what's going on up over there.
Speaker 1:So it's been kind of crazy, Wow. But what was you talking about with Frankie's voice actor though?
Speaker 2:I think Frankie's voice actor got in some trouble and he's like stepping down. I can't remember if it was Japanese or English, but they're supposed to be replacing Frankie's voice actor.
Speaker 1:I'm trying to think. I think I do remember hearing about that. I think it might have been a Japanese voice actor. I I think it might have been a Japanese voice actor. I think it might have been the Japanese voice actor, I think.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I think, because I do remember hearing something about that. Yeah, I don't remember the details of it so I'm not going to get into it because I don't know. I don't know how serious it is the situation, so let's leave it at that. But yeah, hopefully they can do the voice right though, Because Frankie's voice is pretty distinct, Super. Basically Alright.
Speaker 1:So we actually got the nominees for the Game Awards that's supposed to be coming up December 12th. Yeah, december 12th.
Speaker 2:Voting ends at December 11th. Yes, so if you're interested in voting, go vote. If you have somebody you want to make sure they win.
Speaker 1:Been a little bit of a controversy though, but we get to that when we talk about our picks, I guess for the game of the year. But it's just been a weird I shouldn't say weird, it's been a mixy list, honestly Some new stuff, a lot of old stuff, just about.
Speaker 2:At some point we got to figure out what Balotor is.
Speaker 1:It's an indie game. I know that much. I've been hearing good things about it. I'll say that much. I don't know what it is or what it's about, but clearly the game is cooking because it's been nominated a couple of times for a bunch of little other different categories that's interesting, so I'm going to look that up.
Speaker 2:Later. I think I might do the same. That's interesting, so you know what I'm going to look that up later.

Speaker 2:Oh, it was nominated in the mobile game category too, so Wait, what it was. Yep, yes it was so. I'm going to check it out and see if we can find it on the laptop, on the laptop, on a tablet.
Speaker 1:Damn man, this actually must be a good ass game, then, yeah.
Speaker 2:At least I hope so. To be fair, not everything that gets nominated is good, so let's just be real, yeah.
Speaker 1:One thing I will say, though indie games usually do slap.
Speaker 2:They tend to. I feel like it's more creativity. Get a little bit more license to do what you want to do as a creator. What categories are up? Anybody interesting?
Speaker 1:There's one for best action.

Speaker 1:Okay, so for best action, they have Black Myth, wukong, call of Duty, black Ops 6, helldivers 2, stellar Blade and Warhammer. What you got on there.
Speaker 2:I heard good stuff about Stellar Blade Really. If I had to yeah, she had a lot of good things to say about Stellar Blade.
Speaker 1:As quickly as I heard the controversy stuff that was surrounding it it quickly died.
Speaker 2:People cry all the time about stuff. I start to ignore that stuff after a while. I'd probably say well, I think probably Black Myth, that's the one I played off it and it was really good, like really good, having not played the others, and it was really good, like really good, having not played the others firsthand seen most of them this would probably be the one that stands out to me.
Speaker 1:I haven't played Black Myth, but I have seen the videos of it. Obviously, you and the other guys they've been playing it and whatnot. I think Black Myth is most definitely going to win that one Out of everything that's on here on the list for best action.
Speaker 2:I feel Black Myth can sweep that or take that. I think they'll do a lot of cleaning up this awards, because the game itself was actually really good. Yeah, it was really good. Well put together, well designed levels were interesting to look at. It was good okay, okay.
Speaker 1:Another one that they had going on was best ongoing game. On that they had destiny 2, the final shape that's just still going.
Speaker 2:I thought they ended it. Wait, bungee, ain't it?
Speaker 1:Bungie is dead. Yes, that's funny, and they are leaving Destiny 2, but I guess they had the last thing that was going on. Hey, if anything, the only thing that's keeping Destiny 2 afloat is most definitely the community. I'll say that much. Same thing for Division. People just keep sticking around for some reason. You have a dedicated fan base. You like something. You like something, bro. So for best ongoing, they have Destiny 2, diablo 4, final Fantasy, 14, fortnite, helldivers. I Personally, I think 14 may just Take it again. 14 is always usually, if it's not best ongoing, then they usually have. They already got flying bugs, cheetah aliens, nah Stop.

Speaker 2:How many dlcs are actually getting released of that caliber that would actually be able to compete in that category? Like think about this whole year they can most definitely.
Speaker 1:I mean, that's obviously just going to be a sweep for them for that category, for dlcs. But there have been other dlcs or other games that have dlcs, maybe not this year but previous years. That was also just as jam-packed as Eldering and just as good Xenoblade 3, they had their own DLC and that was pretty much kind of like its own little stand-alone thing, much similar to Shadow of the Earth 3.
Speaker 2:Were they good enough to be actually game of the year? No, it was good, but was it game of the year Back then?
Speaker 1:clearly yeah, no, no, see, here's the thing, though. Be up there, okay. I understand your logic, just make it a whole new category, because this right here it's just going to make it's going to be an issue, it's just going to muddy it. I feel, personally speaking.
Speaker 2:Personally, because of the size of it, I don't really mind it being in the category and because of the quality of it I also don't mind. But I get your logic and why you think it should be separate.

Speaker 1:A lot of people weren't expecting the feels or the gravity of it and I think last week's is a good introduction of what down to dawn as a whole has to offer as a so, as a story, because it does hit all like the notes. We got pretty much you, there's a bit of anything and everything here in down to dawn for anybody. You got, like you said, the romance and they, I think, just as a person reading it, not going to go too far into it. But the romance it's pretty nice. It's when you have those genuine scenes between the two or just in general it kind of tugs at you. You'll be like, ah, man, ah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it does, and I feel like it doesn't. It doesn't interrupt the more serious parts of the story. No. As far as combat, interaction and stuff like that. A couple times you'll see it actually have some kind of implications, but it doesn't really't. It's not in a disruptive way.

If you need a little bit of comedy in it, he hits the comedy pretty well with it also just just pay attention to everything, just everything I I saw online or whatever. His editor had forced him to go on a binge of just romance and stuff, just so that way he can learn how to.

Speaker 2:Not that we haven't seen him before, that if we see him we'll recognize him. But he's not a common character because we don't recognize his silhouette. So it's probably somebody who was probably offhand in a panel somewhere, like maybe in the rocks panel. You might match somebody from the rocks panels, from the flashback there or what have you. You know what I mean, but I think it's a character that we will recognize when we see them, but they're not a forefront character.
Speaker 2:So there's a lot of different moving pieces now for new characters and I think Garling, because of his position as the person who could punish Celestial Dragons, really makes him interesting. Because what happens if the Celestial Dragons start rebelling you know what I mean? Like their ship's locked down because of the food shortage, because of the world government yeah, food shortage because of the world government? Yeah, his role could become very essential because then he could wind up being the person who's like really regulating celestial dragons, and then he may be someone who starts to perpetrate atrocities within his own group because at the end of the day, he don't work for celestial dragons, yeah, he works for emo, you see what I mean. So it'll be interesting to see where his definitely um stuff going on, damn man an egghead only makes it deeper.

Speaker 2:I think they do, bro, reason being everyone who was there at some point or another was an impel down and is out. Buggy Crocodile obviously escaped with Lucy, and then Mihawk has been there as a warlord.

I don't think blackbeard was a warlord long enough for them to kind of get his DNA. I hope not besides, I think that would be a very terrible thing. I think he'd be not terrible writing wise but yeah, you think they would have um weevil probably weevil sloppy, so he probably left dna everywhere, um I.
Speaker 2:I think they could probably get their hands on um those three main ones, though for sure um gecko uh oh, moria escaped pachinosu, didn't he?

Speaker 2:Maybe they don't get the Seraphim. You know who could probably get the Seraphim Blackbeard. But then this gets into the part two part, where we're talking about actual egghead island stuff. So let's hold that thought, because there are some interesting serif reports that I want to bring up and some other interesting stuff.
Speaker 1:So they got a lot of stuff. I'm just trying to find out a way on how. I do agree um cross guild most definitely with what they got. Right now they're not. They're not seeing it and right now everybody, all the other players, are vastly getting strong. So Cross Guild definitely needs some type of bolster.
Speaker 2:It's the easiest way. Also, remember Crocodile wanted to team up with Dophie a long time ago and he more than likely You're talking about during the fight of Marine Wars.
Speaker 2:Yep, and he probably knows that Dophie was a celestial dragon. So he probably knows that Dofi was a celestial dragon, so he probably wants to leverage that in some way. I could see them literally going there specifically to pick up Doflamingo, like they don't care about anybody else, they just want to go there to get Doflamingo, because they know that with Doflamingo not only do you get the knowledge of a celestial dragon, which he has, he also has secrets that he's not telling about the world government, that he knows, about emu. There's also the fact that he has connections with the underworld, which now no longer has a boss, because kaido had dofi running the underworld for him. If dofi's back in the picture, the underworld becomes a huge that's more money in uh croc hand, which he loves.
Speaker 2:Exactly. Plus, you already got the bounty system that's set up through Cross Guild for Marines. Dofie's like a horribly perfect choice to be a part of this.
Speaker 1:I'm just yeah, no, I agree, Dofie would be the smart choice, the smart selection to go actually go ahead and pick them.
Speaker 2:Yeah, he would.
Speaker 1:And honestly, with what's going on right now in the story, it wouldn't be too hard to invade, impel down.
Speaker 2:And, narratively speaking, it just seems like it's trending in a direction where all the Warlords form one like super crew, because Moria is probably going to be on the loose because he's may or may not be captured on Hachi knows who still? He's still out. Weevil could still also come into play at some point, because Weevil's a solo act.
Speaker 1:But his mom's not an idiot.
Speaker 2:And his mom's probably going to want to save him and she needs someone to take her to save him, yeah. I can see that. And if Marco's not going to do it, who else can she rely on? She's going to have to find pirates, and the most suitable pirates were going to want to help her Probably Cross Guild. I think, they're the most dynamic group left as far as where their story could go.
Speaker 1:Yeah, Like I said, I think the good thing with Cross Guild is there's a whole bunch of potential when things go. We still don't even know where they're technically at. Did we ever get a recap on where the base is? No, not really right. Uh-uh. So yeah, you can just easily write that up in the background.
