Speaker 1:

Yo, what's good y'all? It's your boy, Mo, and I'm here with Kaz, as always.

Speaker 2:

Hello. Oh, why'd I do that? Never mind Ignore it, Hello.

Speaker 1:

We are on episode 15 of In Another World, and it's been crazy.

Speaker 2:

It's a lot.

Speaker 1:

It has been my body.

Speaker 2:

My body.

Speaker 1:

We got a crazy episode for y'all. Good episode, nice episode going on.

Speaker 2:

No, he's not wrong, he's pretty lit out here. I'm not gonna lie to you.

Speaker 1:

Ah, man, it's. How was your Labor Day Also? Happy Labor Day. I know Labor Day just passed and all but hope y'all guys enjoyed your Labor Day.

Speaker 2:

Oh wait, Funny thing happened today. What happened? Today every time I tell you a funny story from work ashby's involved I don't know why, bro, it's hilarious, so manager she's, she's so fucking funny, so I walk into primary care today, right, and?

Speaker 2:

I'm not supposed to be covering in the afternoon, so I walk in after lunch, I'm saying I'm talking, and she goes do you go to the parkway this weekend? I'm like parkway, I'm good, it's not for me. I thought she asked me that, thinking, oh, I went to the parkway and I'm like huh, did you go to the parkway? Oh, no, no, no, no, no, I didn't go to the park, that's not for me, they don't play that. No, no, that's funny, though. Both Caribbean, neither of us wants to go to the parkway. Hey bro, the first thing I saw when I woke up on Labor Day was somebody get the fuck up on the park. It's a tradition, man, man.

Speaker 1:

The caption said this guy thinks he's broly was like oh, I saw that, yes, he does. He does think he's broly bro. Oh man, he was just standing there too at the end after I was like just just pushing people aside, like saying like his shorty tried to calm him down, bro, he said he needed her. Yeah, I don't want man anyway I don't want to man.

Speaker 2:

Anyway, labor Day Go to the parkway. They said Nah, I'm good you won't get beat up. They said It'll be a fun time. They said oh my gosh, go with your man.

Speaker 1:

They said he won't throw you this time. It's a crazy video.

Speaker 2:

It's pretty tough. It's pretty tough. Besides that it's been video. It's pretty tough. It's pretty tough, besides that it's been Bitching. Yeah, something like that, both ways, double entendre, ah, yes.

Speaker 1:

So we, a couple of weeks out, anime NYC had passed. Yes, interesting experience, it's been Kaz's first Anime NYC, first con. Yes, interesting experience, it's been Kaz's first Anime NYC, First con actually.

Speaker 2:

First con in general, how was your experiences with that man Didn't love it. I don't know if cons are for me, but then again I was actually secretly hella sick when I went. So I haven't used hella since I left Maryland. I was secretly very sick and kind of tough through it a little bit, but it was an okay experience. My favorite part was the cosplays.

Speaker 1:

Nah, cosplays are always fun. You seeing everybody yo, you see some fire cosplay and I'm just wondering, like how long it took. The creativity, bro, I know it had to take like like a couple of months at least by the time you're listening to this, there'll be some pictures up.

Speaker 2:

I already put them on my uh, personal, but uh, they'll be up on the on the instagram, so go check it out. You'll see some of the cool shit. Yeah, yes, I oh, I found, um, you found what? I'm not a weirdo, I swear to god, you sure I'm. I found in my dress-up darling cosplay near the end before we left. It was lit, wasn't there about like?

Speaker 2:

uh about four or five different marins. I didn't see any of them all day, and then at the end I saw the maid marin from the first artist, I could have sworn.

Speaker 1:

I just saw another one too.

Speaker 2:

I don't remember seeing another one. Because I remember both Chris and Megan were saying oh yeah, nah, I saw a man in a man. Oh no, you're right. Oh, which Marin was it? Oh, I forgot which one they did. I did it was after I saw the made cosplay one. Yeah, no, but it was pretty fun.

Speaker 2:

I enjoyed the cosplay part low-key giant marketplace for like people, shit didn't expect that yeah, no and um, everybody's selling stuff yeah, and there weren't a lot of panels that were like super interesting on saturday, but I heard sunday was lit as hell, which go figure yeah, yeah, yeah it was one time uh, I'm not opposed to going back, go figure, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it is what it is. Though One time I'm not opposed to going back, but I feel like it would need to be something local, just because, especially if it's like DreamCon, unless we're going like as a group if we're going as a group, I'd bang with DreamCon because that was like a dude's trip. We could always spend some time in Texas hang out, but like to like invest, to go, just to go to the con.

Speaker 1:

It's not something that you like, or just not a huge thing.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, going to the panels, unless I'm the oldest there or something.

Speaker 1:

Ain't never.

Speaker 2:

Gracing us. I'm going to Jump Festa.

Speaker 1:

Oh, mark my words. What is this? 2024, I'm going to Jump Festa.

Speaker 2:

Oh, oh, oh. Watch, Mark my words. What is this? 2024?

Speaker 1:

You're going to go before Oda retires?

Speaker 2:

2026 Jump Festa. I'm in there. All right, I'm going to hold you to that. I'm in there. 2026 Jump Festa. I'm in there. How was your time?

Speaker 1:

It was interesting. I didn't really get to do some of the stuff that I wanted to do, so there's unfortunately no video that um we didn't get to get a chance to take any of the video stuff sorry about that, guys.

Speaker 2:

Our bad on that. I'll eat shit for that one. I was was very out of it and I didn't. I didn't bring my A game. Let's call it that.

Speaker 1:

He was also just thrown off too. It was a whole lot of stuff. I think I was also working on two hours of sleep, so that's always fun, wild Maniac Two hours of sleep and then ended up obviously didn't stay all too long too, because I had to go leave for an event to something else different. So all in all we really didn't get to do too much of like what we wanted to, but I think all in all it was still an experience. It was still something interesting yes, would not sell it.

Speaker 2:

Definitely got to try it to figure out if you like it right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, hey, I mean, how else are you going to know Exactly, especially considering that, like what I think, cons in general have been such a huge shift, or just in general, because when you first, at least when I first went to them, way back when- ah, damn, I feel like I saw a lot of people and call me judgy if you want to I feel like I saw a lot of people that were there because of someone else you know what I mean or they're there for a specific thing, not for the entire thing. So I feel like it might be one of those things where it's like it's becoming so mainstream that and I don't want to blame mainstream for me not liking it, that's not what I'm saying it's become very more public now, so there's a lot more people.

Speaker 1:

The environment's a lot more, much bigger than what it was before.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so I think that might play a factor into how it's changed and maybe if I was into it a little earlier, maybe I'd feel a little differently about it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, like the vibe of how it was 10 years ago compared to now is completely different and since anime and manga and all that stuff is it's still niche, but not nearly as niche as it was like a decade ago manga's niche, anime, is apparently freaking mainstream all the way.

Speaker 2:

now, that's what it is. It's always good to grow the community. You get a lot of interesting people.

Speaker 1:

Leave the weirdos.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, keep the weirdos. One little thing. Question of the week. This week we're going to give you guys a little bit more time to cook on that one Same question as last week. This week we're going to give you guys a little bit more time to cook on that one Same question as last week.

Speaker 1:

Which is what's your favorite manga panel that got animated? Those are for, obviously, manga folks, for the anime-only ones. What's your favorite anime scene? Yes, so we kind of got one or two up over here. However way you want to answer, if you want to answer both two or you know whichever one. Um, obviously all that stuff is up on the socials in another world pod at instagram, in another world podcast on facebook and truck talk on twitter. Yes, you already know where to hit us up. We also have a YouTube. Please Follow the YouTuber. In Another World Podcast.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:

Yes. But no, seriously you know, subscribe, join up on All those avenues Social medias and stuff Because we always love to hear from you guys.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:

let us know, bro, we always want to talk to you.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

We got a crazy bit of news Speed.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

It's not Speed.

Speaker 2:

Blitz today, bro, it's not Speed Blitz. Today, it's not Fast at all. We kind of got like a chunk.

Speaker 1:

We got a chunk over here for the speed For news.

Speaker 2:

We just got a chunk of news. Yeah, we're not making shit up or nothing, don't worry. Don't worry, we're not making shit up, we're bringing you actual content.

Speaker 1:

The news that you want to hear or you don't know about, but you will know about now.

Speaker 2:

I don't know why that sounded so creepy. You don't know about it, but you're going to know about it now. When we are another you will know, and this is the Speed Blitz.

Speaker 1:

Earlier this week, right? Well, not necessarily earlier this week. This happened near the tail end of last month. We had a bunch of anime sites shut down, what you call it, yeah no, it was like over nine anime streaming sites got suspended.

Speaker 2:

It was funny as hell too, because I heard about it and I kid you not, risky usually watches anime on 9anime and I usually watch Danmachi on there, because you know, fuck Hidive Said what I said. Don't talk to me, fuck Hidive, it's stupid.

Speaker 1:

You're not giving Jeff Bezos no money, right? Nope.

Speaker 2:

It's not even about Jeff Bezos. Hidive is dumb.

Speaker 1:

They did implement it poorly.

Speaker 2:

It's very poorly executed and it's getting a lot of stuff that people want to watch.

Speaker 1:

This is why we should have See, this is why we needed VR, but then Crunchyroll got rid of it, or I should say, sony did Mm-hmm, fucking Sony man.

Speaker 2:

Let's not beat a dead horse.

Speaker 1:

VR was good though.

Speaker 2:

It was.

Speaker 1:

That was a gem, bro Damn.

Speaker 2:

I was like Risky is 9 anime still up. He said like risky is nine anime still up.

Speaker 1:

He said no. No, I was like it's crazy, bro, we're gonna watch your anime.

Speaker 2:

That's crazy, oh my god.

Speaker 1:

It also kind of sucks too, because there's mad older series that's technically not on the streaming services that obviously you would only probably find on um. You know one of the various sites that you would go look on for for anime.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, a lot of.

Speaker 1:

So it, it's, it's, it's, it's one of those um shitty type of situations type thing, because a lot of good, but a lot of bad as well.

Speaker 2:

You get people being paid what they're worth, their intellectual properties being being paid what they're worth, their intellectual property is being distributed properly and they're getting the proper credit, but at the same time, there's a lot that people are going to miss out on, mad older titles.

Speaker 1:

I don't even think it's just only strictly older titles, though, but just things that streaming services just haven't picked up Crunchy Hive, what you call Netflix and all. They just didn't pick that up, and those, unfortunately, gonna fall to the wayside now.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, long live the streaming, sir street, not the streaming services. Long live the pirate life.

Speaker 1:

Stay safe though VPN. Yeah, no, japan definitely will cook your ass.

Speaker 2:

Put you up on charges bro.

Speaker 1:

Bro, that's the last thing you want to do is go to jail over something like that.

Speaker 2:

That is a fact, though why you in here?

Speaker 1:

That was pirating anime Crazy Two to fact, though, why you in here? That was pirating anime. Crazy Dude up, bro.

Speaker 2:

I didn't know what to say. I didn't know what to say. Dude it, dude it.

Speaker 1:

Oh my God, Aside from the sad news depending on however way you are talking about it for anime Concord.

Speaker 2:

More sad news.

Speaker 1:

Or hilarious, honestly, however way you want to figure about this.

Speaker 2:

It's funny, but it's sad at the same time.

Speaker 1:

I do feel very sad for the workers and stuff. Ten whole years of this just cooking in the oven, man, 10 whole years of this just cooking in the oven, man so for those who probably didn't hear, don't know.

Speaker 2:

There was a game that was released um last week. Right, it dropped on august 23rd.

Speaker 1:

August 23rd, it was a hero shooter called Concord, and well, it didn't last.

Speaker 2:

To be fair, it died Kind of a saturated market, but I don't think the market had anything to do with why this was asked.

Speaker 1:

I looked at some of the characters. It looks terrible. It's no personality in it. The characters all look flat. Unfortunately, um, there's no life or anything. It doesn't look any interesting. They're like there's, there's nothing to pull you to like, say like oh yeah, let me go ahead and play this the graphics aren't great either it's like the environmental graphics aren't great.

Speaker 2:

It's just for a 10 for gaming development for 10 years on pc wild yeah, and this is a triple.

Speaker 1:

This was a triple, a title one too. That's the crazy part. It wasn't like no, free to play, no, what you call it, other company, studio, whatever, coming back helping it out. What was like the? Um, the peak amount of numbers that they had for it anyway, I'm going to break it down for you, bro.

Speaker 2:

On release on the 23rd 186. Terrible Peak on release Hell, no, Not thousand, 186 players. Imagine matchmaking with 186 players. You'd be sitting there for a long time.

Speaker 1:

How much was this a game again? 40? Does that matter? It doesn't matter that's ridiculous numbers.

Speaker 2:

Peak was 697. Right now, as we're recording the podcast, 84 people are playing this game. I don't know why, though, but 84 people it's, it's probably less now, probably.

Speaker 1:

Oh wait, that's like what as of right now? Right, this instant pay just reloaded 50. Oh my gosh it just got worse I reloaded the pay.

Speaker 2:

It started at like 111 before we started recording and went out to 87 as you were starting and then, as we were. It's been like 16 minutes since we've been talking here and it's already up to like it's already down to 50.

Speaker 1:

Are you ready for this other bit of news too? What it's shutting down on September 6th? You're lying. I am not lying. I wish I was. I have never in my life heard of anything that's such a fast turnaround, oh my God yo.

Speaker 2:

I get it. It needs to happen. I understand september 6th september 6th this month.

Speaker 1:

This week shit lasted two weeks. Shutting down 14 days after a launch is terrible, and then they're gonna have to refund all those players too.

Speaker 2:

Give me my money back.

Speaker 1:

Oh my.

Speaker 2:

I paid $40 for two weeks of shit.

Speaker 1:

Sony, sony, sony, sony. What happened bro? This was Sony. This was Sony. This was the Sony project. Actually this makes sense it do, though, but like terrible.

Speaker 2:

They've kind of been mismanaging their smaller IPs for a while now.

Speaker 1:

Hey man, Sony smaller IPs for a while now. Hey man, Don't even be fumbling.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they do. Let's just be fair. It's unfortunate, but you know that's his life, Get good.

Speaker 1:

Hey, if you do, if you are hyped for a hero shooter, marvel Virals, come out.

Speaker 2:

That's all the way. In December, play some Overwatch.

Speaker 1:

No, don't play Overwatch. If you love yourself, don't play Overwatch, don't listen to him. He's a hater If you love yourself even a lickle.

Speaker 2:

Did you say lickle? As my grandma says, every mickle makes a muckle, so play some Overwatch, don't play Overwatch.

Speaker 1:

We have more fun playing Call of Duty. I mean mm-mm.

Speaker 2:

To be honest, I'm not gonna lie to you what I think. We can just slide this in here a little bit. The dittiness of Call of Duty is getting out of hand.

Speaker 1:

Yo, what's going on right now?

Speaker 2:

You take people hostage now.

Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, black.

Speaker 2:

Ops 6. Bro, the dittiness is out of hand bro, you just take a little bit.

Speaker 1:

The dittiness is out of hand. Bro, you just take a Me shield and then what you can talk to that person who you just kidnapped.

Speaker 2:

The proximity chat is on so you can hear them and talk to them. Bro, I saw three videos. This can't be a good idea. I've seen three videos of this, each and every one of them. One of them, somebody got snatched and dragged into a bathroom and he was told he was getting brought to a diddy session. No, the other one he took him to a bedroom? No, and when he took him to the bedroom he was going back and forth like he was giving him pumps on the bed.

Speaker 1:

You saw the video of the two people grabbing other people and making them kiss each other.

Speaker 2:

No, you see what I mean, bro. This is toxic. You see what I mean, bro. This is toxic. You see what I mean, bro? All you got to do is give people a little leeway and you see just how gay they are how fast you think they're going to patch this out.

Speaker 1:

They ain't patching nothing, bro. That's it. That's the identity.

Speaker 2:

Now I ain't taking it up. That's what she.

Speaker 1:

Yo On a little bit of sad news though.

Speaker 2:

Why you saddening me?

Speaker 1:

I'm sorry, bro, just gonna have to rip the bandaid for this one.

Speaker 2:

What.

Speaker 1:

Blue protocol man Cancelled, cancelled, no longer coming over here. It's shutting down. They shutting down too over. Oh, it's shutting down. They shutting down too over in Japan too.

Speaker 2:

Oh it's dead. The dream is dead. Oh, it's like that. Yeah, oh damn. I was looking forward to that one too.

Speaker 1:

You and everyone else. Bro, I was hyped for this.

Speaker 2:

What happened.

Speaker 1:

I don't remember what they said was going on, but all I know is they canceled that hoe To they canceled that hoe.

Speaker 2:

To be honest, it doesn't really matter why they canceled it Service will end January 18th.

Speaker 1:

That's tough In Japan, and then whatever Western release that they had has been canceled. Damn man. They just don't want to see people being great. Damn man. Should we keep?

Speaker 2:

it sad Looks fire.

Speaker 1:

What you got going on. What's sad.

Speaker 2:

JJK, we haven't really talked about it much. That bitch ending bro.

Speaker 1:

Oh yes, At the end of this month, right?

Speaker 2:

September 30th is the last chapter. I think it's mad. Everything's ending. I don't know if it's emotions welling up in people because it's ending and they're like, oh my God, I want more JJK. So they're acting out, or or or if it's just people being people.

Speaker 1:

People just being people. I think it's just people being people, people just being people.

Speaker 2:

I've never seen something, my hero.

Speaker 1:

People, just being people.

Speaker 2:

I've never seen anything go from being so beloved to being so hated so fast.

Speaker 1:

Hey man, once you're on top, that's all it takes.

Speaker 2:

Bro, I have my own personal feelings about where the ending is going. I think it's going to get the chainsaw treatment. I think they're just waiting to announce it and they haven't said anything. That's just me.

Speaker 1:

What if they announce that over at Jump Festa?

Speaker 2:

It would make sense To be quite frank. They probably.

Speaker 1:

They might probably give it some little leeway, like a little chance to breathe before they even announce something big like that. Yeah, because I could see if something were to happen like a part two or something like that, like a six-month break, bro.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the story ended with so much unresolved. I get why people are mad, but we've seen stuff like this before. We've seen endings like this before this one.

Speaker 1:

I'm pretty sure, like number one, and then it's still going on. So those answers that people are wanting, I'm pretty sure can be answered. I'm not too sure everything is going to be answered, though, but I'm pretty sure the things that matter, that truly matter, will probably be answered.

Speaker 2:

I don't think everything needs to be answered. I don't think everything needs to be answered.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, just the ones that actually matter, like the points that really matter obviously should be resolved and talked about.

Speaker 2:

Exactly. Please cut Gege some slack. I know he's a bitch for killing everybody, but cut him some slack. Also keep the goat, one of the goats, I should say.

Speaker 1:

Man, mangaka's man. I'm not dealing with the mangaka schedule. It's a thankless job, bro. I am not dealing with the schedule for mangaka Uh manga.

Speaker 2:

It's a thankless job, bro. They all just get sick working themselves into the grave.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, now I'm good.

Speaker 2:

Exactly what? Do you want JJK to turn into One Piece? There's so many questions in JJK that are answered. You want all of them. What's wrong with you people?

Speaker 1:

Speaking of why have you heard of the Shadow Duelist from Yu-Gi-Oh no? Of why have you heard of the shadow duelist from Yu-Gi-Oh no? Okay, so apparently there was a tournament happening and there was this person called the shadow duelist masquerading around in this tournament. Please tell me he was wearing a mask. Yeah, no, he was wearing a mask. Had a whole full ensemble and stuff Fire, but they unveiled whom. You wanna know who it is.

Speaker 2:

Keanu Reeves mean. Imagine that would be. He's in everything, it's new dog.

Speaker 1:

I mean T-Pain, also do be playing is. It's none of them, by the way, but it would be dope wait, wait.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I'll take one guess. What's the nationality or the race? White, do I know?

Speaker 1:

them? I don't know. Do you know them, would you know?

Speaker 2:

uh, mitt romney. Nah, I played my trap card. What privilege.

Speaker 1:

I'm kidding zayn malik what?

Speaker 2:

from one direction yes, what the fuck. And yes, I wouldn't know, zayn, what the fuck.

Speaker 1:

I was so thrown off when I first heard about it. I was like huh, what do you mean this?

Speaker 2:

is a victory. Weaves are everywhere.

Speaker 1:

Everywhere man. But yeah, nah, he's the shadow duelist.

Speaker 2:

And he's the sexy one from One Direction.

Speaker 1:

Yo, that's bad funny man. Yeah, no, it was. And the crazy thing, it was a yugioh master dual live stream tournament. My boy came out. He just like saying, yeah, now I'm the shadow duelist, I uh I fuck with that so heavy, that is so cool that's dope all right um jump.

Speaker 2:

Festa is coming up in december and there are a couple notable exceptions what's that what we got?

Speaker 2:

and a couple notable inclusions from the lineup. Some exceptions black clover, boruto, one punch man and, for some weird ass reason, solo leveling. Now I don't know if the full list is out what I could see from the crunchyroll information. None of these are on there and these are series that are expected to come out next year, and solo leveling one punch man should be coming out. I think it doesn't have a release date, but I would expect it probably late next they never.

Speaker 1:

They never gave a release date for um for one punch up until this point, when I heard it was coming out.

Speaker 2:

I was expecting it to come out late next year, which would give me hints that, hey, it's gonna be at jump festa this year being announced. If it's not now, I'm inclined to think it's gonna get pushed into 2026. That's just my thought. Uh, solo leveling, I don't think we need to worry yeah, I think um second curve.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think they're probably holding this announcement for a bit and they're probably gonna drop a trailer at jump festa. That's just my uh two cents on that black clover and borto to me makes sense because they're longer term changes, because both are expected to shift from long running formats to seasonal formats, which are big changes plus, I don't know if it's all too much, um, true, or whatever, but didn't kishimoto say that he had, like, different types of animators in mind for um, for, like the upcoming anime projects?

Speaker 1:

I'm guessing baritone, whatnot?

Speaker 2:

oh, I hadn't heard about that. But if that's the case, then then yeah, personally, I think a switch in studio would be ideal. That's just me personally. I don't think, I don't even know which studio.

Speaker 1:

Peridot.

Speaker 2:

It was Peridot.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I don't think they needed no more, bro. They were butchering the anime. Let's just be real. Anime for Borto is really bad.

Speaker 1:

I'll be real. I stopped, honestly, I probably may have watched the first two couple of episodes and then I was like, yeah, I'm good on that.

Speaker 2:

The biggest one that I think is going to be a real banger is Black Clover. I think when Black Clover comes back it's going to just launch itself into the stratosphere. To be quite frank, because the animation got very good near the end. Be quite frank, because the animation got very good near the end and now it's been on break for a couple years. They're tuning up.

Speaker 2:

I hope they also change studios, but I wouldn't be mad if they kept this because that's another one too from paradox yeah, it paradox showed that they were trying to do something and they showed flashes with boruto because still, momoshiki versus sasuke and naruto is one of the best fights animated ever.

Speaker 1:

I think when they want to show out, they show out.

Speaker 2:

They can flex but, condense it. Stop taking so much liberties. Stick to the sources, because that's what you need. All these characters that you put into the series are all gone now. No one gives a shit about them.

Speaker 1:

None of them are included in the manga, or, if you do, I feel like, at least make them interesting.

Speaker 2:

No, I don't want no filler, nothing, no, filler nothing, no filler, nothing, bro. I'm sick of filler. Filler as a principle needs to disappear. Seasonal formats is where it's at, it just is. I mean your seasonal formats.

Speaker 1:

Seasonal formats, I feel, is even lighter on the um, on the whole team. Granted, I mean unless you're Mapa, then they're just whipping you with the with the whip. But yeah, no, I feel like seasonal is just the overall better thing, rather than having to just have it like one big long running format.

Speaker 2:

Uh yeah, also, I'm glad we moved away from that as far as the inclusions, uh, hell's paradise, which I had heard was not included on the list, actually is. So don't worry about season two. Now that it's on the list, more than likely, probably late next year, I'm gonna get to see a follow-up to that besides, they already spoke of season two.

Speaker 1:

Of that too. Um last last, uh, last festa yeah, that's why I was.

Speaker 2:

That's why I was looking forward to seeing. That's why, when I heard it wasn't on the list, I was like, hmm, and I was looking forward to seeing it on the list.

Speaker 1:

World trigger, world trigger oh, it's actually coming back that's my expectation.

Speaker 2:

The anime stopped probably a year and a half ago.

Speaker 1:

Is the manga still ongoing? Manga came back a few months ago, bro oh yeah, nah, I think it has the weird sporadic release right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think it's now. It dropped a few chapters last month, so it's.

Speaker 1:

Probably doing it in bulks.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's kicking back into gear, which is huge. I love that. World Tr trigger is a great story and I've been waiting for them to transition from being on earth and going to the other planets. I feel like everybody's been waiting for so long for this. You know what I mean. So the manga is coming, manga's back now. The anime is coming back, and the anime ended at a nice part, bro, in the rank wars, and the rank wars are an exquisite tournament arc, bro lovely.

Speaker 1:

I love a good tournament arc.

Speaker 2:

Lovely bro, it's so good. If they animate this properly, this would be a banger and uh, dragon ball oh yeah, um dragon ball.

Speaker 1:

Got that new anime, dragon ball magic. Um what was it, daima?

Speaker 2:

yes, dragon ball, daima yes, on top of recently they announced that Tori Toya has taken over. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Which is only fair.

Speaker 2:

I think this is going to be his first big con representing Dragon.

Speaker 1:

Ball. He wasn't over at the previous years.

Speaker 2:

No, he was, oh, by himself. Yeah, toriyama was still with us. So because of that, it was still Toriyama's baby. But now that Toriyama's passed away, rest in peace this is going to be Tori Toriyama's first time as the face of Dragon Ball, as the artist and the writer, so this is a big deal. I'm really looking forward to that.

Speaker 1:

I wonder how they're going to go about it. I mean with the manga For the anime. They already got that going on with Daima and the first trailer. I will admit the first trailer that they showed off of a fort didn't really look all that interesting, but I forgot. I saw another trailer like a second trailer or a third trailer of it. Looks to be a little bit interesting. Looks like they're exploring the demons and all that other stuff a little bit more and like the realms of the demons and all that I'm gonna give it a shot it's interesting.

Speaker 1:

I'm still not too crazy about like oh yeah, everybody's a kid now.

Speaker 2:

But yeah, that whole dragon ball gt kind of yeah vibe, it kind of rubbed me the wrong way, but I'm willing to watch it and see what they do with it.

Speaker 1:

Hopefully they are not kids for the entire series.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, also, nobody freaking watches Dragon Ball for the plot, so it doesn't really matter.

Speaker 1:

You don't upset the whole fan base just now.

Speaker 2:

What you mean. It be like that, bro. Also final inclusion that I'm really excited about Haikyuu Aw man, finish it.

Speaker 1:

Also final inclusion that I'm really excited about Haikyuu Ah man.

Speaker 2:

Finish it.

Speaker 1:

Or Weston. You think they're gonna finish it as a movie or as like an actual series?

Speaker 2:

I don't care, finish it. I'm sick of it, finish it. I wanna see Shoyo on the beach in Brazil.

Speaker 1:

Please, I would be. Ah man Haikyuu.

Speaker 2:

And I wanna see Shoyo vs Kageyama. Bro, for those of y'all, man Haikyuu and I want to see Shoujo versus Kageyama.

Speaker 1:

bro, For those of y'all who have not watched Haikyuu, this is your chance.

Speaker 2:

Get your shit together. Watch it, get your shit together. Four seasons and a movie, watch it, several movies, get your shit. If you're on Crunchyroll right now, you'd be watching Haikyuu until next year if you started right now. If you're slow and a bitch season. Season three and four was pretty short, though I know, that's why I called it go watch iq. Yes, please, it's amazing. Oh, I'm starting your gear. Oh, we won't get into that too much, okay, okay I'll talk to y'all about that another time.

Speaker 1:

Air gear man, wait a minute. So you're going to go into watching it.

Speaker 2:

and then, okay, I heard it's filthy so I don't want to get into it.

Speaker 1:

Damn man. Maybe I should go right back and revisit air gear. It might be that time, yeah.

Speaker 2:

You had one more thing.

Speaker 1:

Oh yes, yeah, you had one more thing. Oh yes, actually I had, you had more than one more thing. I'm telling you, man, it's a chonky news segment you being fat.

Speaker 2:

Today, you being greedy.

Speaker 1:

So there was the Sonic Sonic Movie 3. Jesus, fucking Christ, I hate trailers so much now yo look, I'm hyped for that movie right now, bro. It looks so good. So, oh man, keanu sounds good as hell he does but also I know how the whole movie goes now.

Speaker 2:

there better be like a plot twist. Can they show the whole Dr Eggman makeover?

Speaker 1:

Oh my God Also nah, nobody can play Dr Eggman like Jim Carrey. He got that.

Speaker 2:

Jim Carrey is one of my favorite actors of all time and I regard him as one of the premier artists I've ever observed. Bro, that guy is just him, bro. He really is. He's just him, bro, perfect dick man.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, that's what I'm like, nah, they. They did right with the cast and they did right with that oh, look at that also.

Speaker 2:

Crowdsourcing finally did something. Good People complaining on the internet.

Speaker 1:

Yo, I'm telling you right now, if they kept that same original, hideous-ass design for Sonic, they would be poor. We wouldn't have even gotten Bro, we wouldn't have been able to even get a second movie.

Speaker 2:

Were you going to the theaters? Hell, no, I wouldn't.

Speaker 1:

I wouldn't even waste time watching it.

Speaker 2:

I didn't go and they did it right. You should see the movies I'm gonna watch them though one and two was good yeah, I'm gonna watch them and I think, uh, we were talking about going to the movies to watch three anyway.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, probably watch them before we watch three also take it as you will sad news, funny news or just news, but more sony news, sony fumbling the bag yet again.

Speaker 2:

What the fuck now?

Speaker 1:

They do what they do best man. So there was a little bit of hiccup. The producers for the Spider-Verse film, phil Lord and Christopher Miller, are expecting to part ways with Sony. This was apparently all over the because I guess Lord and Miller were going to have an idea for Spider-Man Noir TV series. I'm guessing there was like some issues or like Sony and them just weren't on the same line with it. They weren't on board. Whichever way, you know how it is with um with businesses. Anyway, they're gonna finish up their role or they're gonna finish up what they're doing with the spider-man um with the movie.

Speaker 2:

Maybe that's also explained why the movie's delayed ever since, since that joint got delayed, I'm like, mm-hmm, something's up. And then it got delayed again and I'm like, mm-hmm, definitely something's up. And now this comes out there's more to this shit, bro, it's gonna come out.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so unfortunately, they'll be splitting after this. After everything's all said and done, though, but it's not looking too good, not looking too good, not looking too good.

Speaker 2:

That's tough. That movie was supposed to come out as a follow-up to part two a year later. I think this is what the two-year mark almost.

Speaker 1:

That's crazy bro About so.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's almost two years now.

Speaker 1:

To be fair, there was no way that they was going to release it the next year after that. If they announced it bro it had to be done If, it being as condensed as it was, nah.

Speaker 2:

If they announced it, bro, it had to be done, bro. I think they had to redo stuff I wouldn't be surprised. I think they had to reshoot stuff, bro, because it had to be done. You don't make that announcement. It's not like the announcement was made after it was at the end of the movie.

Speaker 1:

I mean, unless you're moving like MAPPA, MAPPA's on time. I'm talking about taking the whip to people Just to make that year a turnaround. You saw how long the second movie was, and then we're talking about like, yeah, nah, the third movie be out within a year, come on.

Speaker 2:

Nobody wants the information out yet. When the time comes and they're ready to talk about it, they'll talk about it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's going to be like that X-Men thing all over again.

Speaker 2:

Oh, let's save that for another time, bro, because that one is wild.

Speaker 1:

That was wacky, that one is wild. All right, we have been telling you a whole bunch of news.

Speaker 2:

Thick Blitz. That's a new name now Thick Blitz.

Speaker 1:

Can you even call it a Blitz anymore?

Speaker 2:

Oh, a thick bitch, I'm not Yo.

Speaker 1:

News Four Cs.

Speaker 2:

I prefer Qs, but.

Speaker 1:

Yo, we got I prefer q's, but yo, um, we got the a return of verse swaps. We got a new. Well, it's not new though, but we got a return of the classic verse swaps. We told them to y'all guys a couple of times before in some of the earlier episodes. We first started it with my Hero and One Piece. Then the last one that we did was Bleach and JJK. Some of our best work, bro. Prolific Chef's, kiss man.

Speaker 2:

Just perfectly unbalanced.

Speaker 1:

Nah, they was fire, they was fire, they were fire. This time we got Naruto and Demon Slayer.

Speaker 2:

They're like the new gen big three. I'm kidding, don't listen to me, I'm being a bitch.

Speaker 1:

If you guessed Naruto and Demon Slayer. There's no way that you would have guessed it, though. But you know you can look underneath your chair, for I don't know, whatever you have underneath your chair, I can't tell you. Pull your blunt out from underneath your chair shit, I can't tell you.

Speaker 2:

Pull your blunt out from under your chair, bro. Get your lighter. Lock in. Lock the hell in, let's go all right.

Speaker 1:

So what you want to go first or you want me I only got two.

Speaker 2:

You said you had three. All right, hey yo, I just thought something and it's wild, go ahead.

Speaker 1:

All right, so I was tasked or I have taking Naruto characters and making them demon slayer. Who would you go with first? All right, so I'm going with team seven. Got three people from team seven.

Speaker 2:

I fuck with it, though, no matter.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to go with Sasuke for the first one. What I have was thinking of for sasuke. We have the whole tondro thing, you know, like whole family clan. You know clans, merkin and whatnot.

Speaker 1:

Instead of doing the whole thing of like how it plays out in arto, with itachi being the one who merks the clan, obviously I think over here in Demon Universe, demon Slayer Universe, you could do it a little bit like with Muzan mercs, the whole clan, itachi included, instead of you know, we don't want to do the whole thing with you know, brother Nah. So what I'm thinking of is having Muzan be the one to mark the entire clan, Sasuke, being fueled with the rage. What I'm thinking of? His clan has obviously red eyes, but they also have, you know, very rich blood, so to speak, for demons. So demons really love that blood.

Speaker 1:

That's cool love that blood. That's cool. Something interesting, since there's no do-jitsu's over here in Demon Slayer Universe, but at least you know running around with rare blood. That demons, would you know, just want.

Speaker 2:

You smell sweet boy.

Speaker 1:

You know, just get them. You know, usual Capri Sun over there.

Speaker 2:

Come here, little Uchida.

Speaker 1:

So I was gonna have Either way. You just did. Toby Rama, I'm a little cheater.

Speaker 2:

He's just a clan, so I was going to have you know. Hey, you just did.

Speaker 1:

Toby Rama, I'm sorry, what I was going to have Sasuke do is it is going to happen be the swordsman of electricity. Well, thunder, lightning, right, yeah, lightning, that makes sense. Have his whole Karen set. Well, not the Karen set, though, but obviously you know Dances. Hey, two technically Neither here nor there.

Speaker 2:

Everybody else are like 20.

Speaker 1:

Niggas are just starting inventing movies up on the fly.

Speaker 2:

Sure Sasuke is much more diverse.

Speaker 1:

He ain't throwing no fire over here though, but you know he at least hitting you with some quick thunderclap, he getting hit with no thunderclap. So at least that's what I had an idea for Sasuke.

Speaker 2:

What you got For me. I did my two favorite characters, tanjiro Don't ask me why I like him. He's a crybaby, but it's fine. I think he's really cool. I like his resolve and I like his empathy. Respect him, bro. Crying is a manly, manly thing to do. How many men do you see cry? Exactly Only the manliest, like myself, cry every night.

Speaker 1:

Just over here looking at a mirror Just like oh man.

Speaker 2:

Nobody's going to see this review, all right. So I have Don Juro set up as the leader of the seven swordsman of the mist, I have him, okay, being kind of busted, and he has all but one chakra nature. Oh my god. Hey, bro, he's the protagonist. That's what happens, right? It'd be like that plus, technically he could use water, technically he could use fire, technically he could use lightning, and he smells real good, so he could use wind.

Speaker 2:

yeah, he's actually kind of broken bro, but I do have him kind of having like a soft versions of kK and Kai Like a.

Speaker 1:

What would they be?

Speaker 2:

Like a steamer, because he has fire and water steam release for like a light body buff. Not like anything crazy, just like reinforces body.

Speaker 1:

Kind of similar to his breathing. Yeah, yeah, that'd be nice.

Speaker 2:

And then he has scorch style, which is his like main, like source of, like combat, and I didn't like go too far into the techniques but I gave him like three. One is Soul Crest, which is his like extended body buff, and then the Soul Dragon Flare which I gave him like a Think of it, like Madara's Dragon Flame.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

But he can like tighten the spread so that it is almost like a laser at times, or another blade or an extension of his blade. It's versatile.

Speaker 1:

Okay, multi-use.

Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm. And then the other one is soul dragon dance, which enhances his blade and allows him to, like it'll be sharper, has like a slightly extended range because he's imbuing it with his chakra and he can kind of like change what elements he puts into it so he can use his lightning, his fire, whatever. Okay, yeah, that's Tanjiro, though Not too crazy, but you know something like Also, just because he's from the mist, he knows the hidden mist, jutsu. So you know he's going to not find him, he's going to kill you.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, All right oh. I guess that hurt Tanjiro from over here bro, Following up I guess with that I have Naruto. For Naruto, I was kind of thinking of giving um a little bit of um, just a little bit of stuff. What I was thinking for naruto he would have um, um. He would be the bearer of wind style to go match up with how it is in our tone, his wind style or wind natural element. I was going to call him the Sage Swordsman.

Speaker 2:

That is cool, that's cool. I like that, that's cool.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so he just his main element, or so, with the Sage. Sage's style being a derivative of wind. Part of it, things that I'm thinking. For him to move quickly, sage mode was all about feeling nature and stuff like that, being one with the earth and stuff, so to speak. Not one with the earth, though.

Speaker 2:

The frogs.

Speaker 1:

Yes, Since you know, maybe he doesn't have a crow, but he actually has a frog for his that would be hilarious he's just the only demon slayer a part of the corpse with a frog.

Speaker 2:

Your messages are just slow as hell, bro, brr. Your frog just hopping through the woods trying to get to you. Frog, all out of breath.

Speaker 1:

You just walk too fast oh man, oh my god, um, to go off to go with it as well. Winds, um, all about that nature of the wind, feeling the flow of it. Very uh, sanami is very, um, sanami is like a very brute of it, very vicious, very sharp winds and stuff. And I'm thinking for Naruto, kind of like a little bit opposite of it, hinting at like the swirling nature of his name, uzumaki. Oh so nice, cool, calm, storm type of hit You're going to get hit with like a nice vibe Ain't going to be a nice breeze, you're going to be feeling something.

Speaker 2:

You're going to rustle your jimmies with a gentle breeze a really aggressive gentle, breeze just slip oh man. The other one I did was my actual favorite character in Demon Slayer who's a favorite? Muichiro the moon, look man. Leave me alone. I'm already sad enough as is. Oh oh, oh, what nothing so his is a little bit more uh in depth than uh tanjiro's, because I, you know god, put some effort into your homie so I had him being an anbu agent oh, okay and his mask is white and the eye holes are just flat slits.

Speaker 2:

Now he's oh, he can't see for shit. No, but he's a sensor ninja. It's lit out here. Uh, he uses wind lightning and yin release. Uh, his main style. He's a kick again guy user. He's got gail style. His is a little different though. Uh, he specializes in stealth assassination and intelligence gathering. Um, he is a very pragmatic fighter. He uses a katana one. He got from the shogun of the Land of Iron after he saved his granddaughter. Remember the old man Mifune? Yeah, he gave him a nice sword to go with his little nodachi he has.

Speaker 2:

I gave him like three techniques just to keep him in line with Tanjiro. So one is Mist Cloak, which shrouds his body and conceals his chakra and makes him virtually undetectable, unless you're like, really cracked at chakra detection, like Naruto, would be Chameleonesque. So you just like fade into the background, type shit. And then there's the miss mercy, which is again jutsu. It is similar to the hidden mist jutsu, but when he spreads the mist out it's imbued with this chakra and if you inhale it you'll fall asleep and you're placed in again jutsu. And if you stay in it it messes your chakra up so bad that even after you wake up, you can't need chakra for a while oh, okay crazy work.

Speaker 2:

And then they're the. His real, like sucker punch, is merciless moon glow which he abandons the stealth aspect of his kit, pumps all his chakra into strength, speed and his sensory abilities, cranks it up to 1 million and his blade is imbued with gale style, enhancing the range and the sharpness. Yes, it's kind of both of them kind of. Have that to hearken back to the, the red blade from the story.

Speaker 2:

Okay, is what I'm saying yeah so it keeps them like unique, but still grounded in the demon slayer lore. Oh, you hate it. That's all right, so sakura is kind of like a mesh, so to speak Go, go, go, go, keep going, it's your turn, give me Sakura, you whore.

Speaker 1:

All right, so Sakura is kind of like a mesh, so to speak.

Speaker 2:

Wow, hurt my feelings. You know, I love me some sakura hurry up.

Speaker 1:

Um what's the love?

Speaker 1:

um hasha again I forgot her name anyway, I'm thinking of her body mass in a sense of like how she's strong as hell sakura, obviously in naruto, strong as hell, keeping that same thing Strong, you know, muscle girl or whatever. Anyway, I was going to have her be the healing type of yo. She was going to be a healing miss Yo, this is crazy. I took a sip of water, almost died man. She kind of be more like how shinobu, in the sense when she's about how she will be with um poisoning any enemies with um, insect, I'm thinking Sakura in a sense, where she can heal other people.

Speaker 1:

Obviously she has that medical technique and stuff as well. But because, having a knowledge of being a medical ninja although she's not a ninja over here, she also knows ways of the human body and stuff like that, so she can also play as a sis of helping out the team, because Lord knows those. So she can also play as a sis of helping out you know team, because Lord knows those demon slayers need a whole lot of help. They need help, they need also healing.

Speaker 2:

She better be fighting from the next town over bro.

Speaker 1:

But she's not just healing. She over here taking names too, though, and then, because she also obviously anatomy and whatnot knows like the perfect way to slice up, cut up a artery, hit you up with the tendons, you just fuck.

Speaker 2:

That's funny. Will they just heal it back?

Speaker 1:

Maybe it's like a serrated blade. Ew, yeah, nah, it's just not fun, leave me alone. Heal it back.

Speaker 2:

Maybe it's like a serrated blade, ew.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, nah, it's just not fun.

Speaker 2:

Leave me alone. That hurts. Yeah, not fun. My Achilles just started throbbing.

Speaker 1:

Ew, no, obviously, the ones who I'm thinking who would be able to use the mark would probably most likely be Sasuke and Naruto. Naruto's mark.

Speaker 2:

Don't disrespect her.

Speaker 1:

But she gets to live. Why would she need a mark? She don't need no mark. Let her live a long life.

Speaker 2:

They don't get marks either, then Fuck them. She's literally the only one without a mark.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yes, fair enough Literally, though, but like Yo, really the only one with a mark. Okay, yes, fair enough literally, though, but like yo see the sakura hate.

Speaker 2:

Just it's not even like conscious at this point, it's just passive I don't even hate her.

Speaker 1:

It's a crazy part it's just crazy bro I got a beef against her you you know what I'm not gonna all right, all right, fine, fine, fine, fine, I'm not doing a Sakura rant. Fine, I'm not doing a Sakura rant, you got it. Give them all marks, so that way they all just have like an early grave then.

Speaker 2:

Yes, exactly, see, you get it Fairness, everybody does.

Speaker 1:

Crazy, but that's what I have right now going on for the slump Sl. But that's what I have right now going on For the uh, for the slomp, slomp, swamp.

Speaker 2:

Yes, so If you guys have any cool ideas for swaps, feel free to drop them. Uh, you can do any of the ones we've done so far.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, if you even have some interesting Ideas from some of the characters over here as well, let us know too.

Speaker 2:

That's a fact.

Speaker 1:

You love to hear some of that.

Speaker 2:

Take your favorite Demon Slayer character or Naruto character and flip it. Also, if there's any verses you think we should compare, send them. I'm just going to jump right into it. This is going to be a spoiler heavy portion, so if you're into one piece and you're not finished with Egghead, tune out. This is thankfully near the end of the episode. You got a good chunk of content before you have to ship off, if you have to ship off.

Speaker 1:

So thank you for coming, love you, but the rest of the video is one piece related and heavily spoiler related.

Speaker 2:

so, granted, I don't think the uh anime is no, the anime has gotten to a portion of it. But regardless whether you're anime or manga only and you're not caught up, just know this is not the place for you to be right now. Um so, egghead did finish yes, it's done, well, it's done, but it's not like we're in the transition period. Yeah, and this seems like a very good time to be fair transition period.

Speaker 1:

Don't count towards the um, towards arc not usually no, um, but this is a locker room talk at this point.

Speaker 2:

Yes, this is the first and the best Egghead Island Awards. Let's go All right.

Speaker 1:

So we are going to podium. We have MVP most clutch, most supporting actors, best supporting actor and best moments and best moments.

Speaker 2:

So um I think we save mvp for last right yeah, mvp be last all right, so, uh, let's start. Best supporting actor I got. I got like five of them, to be quite frank give me your three all right, I'll give you three right now. Um, i'ma go, i'ma say zoro, it's real subtle, it's real subtle people. Up until the point where it was actually told to you people did not peep this if zoro did not lock luchi up oh yeah, luchi would have been out.

Speaker 1:

He would have been a game wrecker with his speed.

Speaker 2:

With kizaru there, they would have been game wreckers and even with zoro there, with sanji, that would have been a significantly more difficult fight considering the circumstances that came up. So I I think zoro's role, while understated, was very, very important. He did some key things. He stopped kaku from destroying the ship. He had the wherewithal at that point, right before that, to say yo, you guys going inside. That's fine, go inside, I'm staying with the ship. I don't trust the situation to be fair, zoro never.

Speaker 2:

He never leaves the ship he lives up to his own he lives up to his role as as the as the right hand man, bro, and that, to me, didn't get enough credit. Uh, holding up luchi didn't get enough credit, and nor did the interaction he had with the next guy on my supporting character list, a very studly, wuddly old man, a Mr Ethan Baron, venus, fucking Juro, bro. I think that is my favorite devil fruit design in the entire series. His yokai form. The horse, oh Centaur, his yokai form Out of all the five out of the five uh gear.

Speaker 1:

I say he definitely, I definitely like his design over everyone else's yes, his yokai form was so earthworm.

Speaker 2:

And then he's rocking off katetsu blade. Yeah, nah, his, his is, his is hard. It's hard, bro, it's so hard he's rocking a katetsu you know what it reminds me of?

Speaker 1:

Like a plague horse.

Speaker 2:

Yes, bro, it's really fire. It's like ushering you into the undead. His abilities are ice-based. It's really cracked out. Yeah, he's good. He's a really cool character. I'd be hyped to see?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I think definitely before we even saw the elders transform and stuff he was the one I was always looking forward to, bro I was always like looking at him, like oh yeah, nah, he old man, who's gonna be, he's gonna be doing some stuff he dressed different.

Speaker 2:

He's wano. He seems to be wano themed. He has a key. We've been speculating he has a katetsu blade for so long and then we finally get confirmation. He was definitely the most intriguing of the gorse, um, but I think what really stood out to me was his performance. He stepped on and it was business bro. He said I bet pacifistas, I don't want to break you, but I'm just making things complicated.

Speaker 2:

I'm locked out down cruise the island in a instant. Bro took out all the pacifista what? And we see people like on the straw hat Crew struggle. I'm not saying they struggle To destroy pacifistas, but they Did not. They don't deal with pacifistas with that Level of efficiency None of them.

Speaker 1:

They're also not fucking huge as hell.

Speaker 2:

That is true. Final MVP, final best supporting is Kuma.

Speaker 1:

I just want Bob MVP. Final best supporting is Kuma.

Speaker 2:

I just want my boy, I just want justice for my boy man.

Speaker 1:

Justice for Kuma, my boy he ain't deserve none of that. Oh man, Hit me with the waterworks of a story.

Speaker 2:

He was good to a fault, but everything he did came into context in Egghead Island the way he separated the straw hats to save them, the way he, uh, sacrificed himself, for I don't want to go into this because I think that this is very important that you experience it just everybody.

Speaker 1:

Yes, the way he says everybody, I'm gonna.

Speaker 2:

It's a very good moment. You guys will enjoy it. It really brings a lot of good characterization to his character. I think once you see it, you'll understand why I gave him. Honestly, I think he's the top Of the best supporting character.

Speaker 1:

For me, kuma's good, kuma's solid as hell, and Damn man. All my homies hate Saturn, all of them All right, who's your best supporting actors?

Speaker 2:

Hmm.

Speaker 1:

Vega Punk, just like the whole.

Speaker 2:

I am wounded but continue.

Speaker 1:

To be fair, everybody, I mean he definitely. I already know, I already know who your MVP is. To be fair Edison is he definitely?

Speaker 2:

I already know. I already know who your mvp is. To be fair, edison is on my best supporting list. Edison is actually good as a shout out.

Speaker 1:

Edison is definitely. You know. You're right. Vega punk has a whole sense. To be fair, edison and whatnot is vega pump, although like a different attribute for vega punk, though, but you are right edison definitely needed a special shout out edison definitely deserved that him. I put him and atlas together up on there, just like the way that they went about about things, the knowing completely what's at stake, what needed to be done, and just like hey taking care of business.

Speaker 1:

Bro, shit gotta get done one way or another. Shit gotta get done, even if I gotta like throw my life on the line for it. But Shit gotta get done One way or another. Shit gotta get done, even if I gotta throw my life on the line for it, but shit just gotta get done.

Speaker 2:

Especially when brought into context with what we learned about what Vegapunk knew leading into Egghead. I don't think people realized that there were parts of his personality that weren't hip. There were only three that were hip.

Speaker 1:

It was him, edison, and Pythagoras and Stella and Shaka.

Speaker 2:

They were the ones who knew.

Speaker 1:

Shaka was taken too soon.

Speaker 2:

The rest of them didn't know To play your role so perfectly.

Speaker 1:

Not even know what's going on.

Speaker 2:

It was fire bro.

Speaker 1:

Damn man. Shaka was taken too soon.

Speaker 2:

You had Vegapunk as your best supporting who else you going on. It was fire bro. Yeah, damn man, shaka was taking too soon. All right, you had vagabond, because you're the best supporting who else you got.

Speaker 1:

I think bonnie was pretty good cracked out.

Speaker 1:

I like that one nice she a1 victim, yeah, she was cool in the sense of, like, we learned more, just both, obviously, obviously about her and kuma and stuff like that, though, but um, just seeing, after being hit with, just seeing, like how she was with when she first found out about vagabond wasn't fucking with him, obviously, and had perfect reasons to, but then after finding out you know the truth, all that other stuff was just able to quickly try to change her future, so to speak, change the future around her, do ways, even when she couldn't fight or couldn't hang with the current events that was going around over there, when guruses showed up and, for example, still trying to, you know, push on out there and do what you can.

Speaker 2:

Even in this, um, she put an unwinnable quote-unquote situation she showed up, man, she showed up, and learning about her devil fruit was definitely that's also another thing very interesting getting the fan base upset is hilarious, hilarious I'm always for that, every little thing. Two neekas, all right. So you got. You want to go? You want to add a third?

Speaker 1:

no, I'm good, okay. So I mean, there's definitely the third. I would say it was a flex one because it can just fit for anybody else for the need, like the giants, for example, giants showing up, showing up at a time of need, a great need. But yeah, my third is just really like a flex.

Speaker 2:

Okay, all right. So next award Most clutch, hmm.

Speaker 1:

Hmm, most clutch. There's a couple of people for clutch. Damn man, I don't want to give it to any of the vega punts because they were clutch, they were so clutch, they were so clutch.

Speaker 2:

They were so clutch, they were so clutch. All right, think about yours. I'm gonna give you mine what you got. Be fucking mad. The wings of the pirate king were flying high in this arc. Bro, I don't care what anybody says. I'm a big proponent of reading for understanding and reading with anticipation and not impatience. I think a lot of what happens on a week-to-week read is very reactionary and people tend to get caught up in what's happening right now in front of them and they create narratives for themselves before the story even tells you what's happening.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, story's still cooking. You haven't gotten a full story yet. Exactly Full thing isn't painted out just yet. And speculating is cool and all and stuff. There's nothing wrong with speculating and stuff, but I guess just being lost on the whole simple fact of you haven't even gotten like the rest of the information yet, just just just a little bit of leeway, wait for like more stuff to progress and whatnot, you may change literally your. You may literally change how you feel or change your mind about something when new information is presented.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I think that Sanji fell victim to that and it's not necessarily something we haven't seen in the past. Usually Sanji struggles in arcs and he'll have arcs where he shows up really solid, or you'll have an arc where he shows up and he makes a lot of mistakes. But, generally speaking, he's the guy they count on to execute the things that need a little bit of finesse.

Speaker 1:

They just don't have it to be about a woman.

Speaker 2:

Yes, and this was one of those moments where you had to wait and watch and see what Sanji was doing. And once you get the context of it, you understand. And everybody gave him so much flack for Vegapunk dying, but he clued me into something so critical. I did not pick this up on my first read. I usually do a reread of every arc. Vegapunk was the one who pointed out that when Vegapunk died, vegapunk died with a smile. That is incredibly significant, because the people who die with smiles are Ds. I know I'm talking about Sanji, but stick with me People who die with smiles are regarded as Ds. Vegapunk doesn't have a D in his name. You're laughing, but we've been reading this. Stop it. And he died the way he wanted to, and part of that is related to Sanji, and Sanji was the only person that he felt he could trust with these ideas that he had to be fair, sanji was given the duty of quote-unquote, keeping him alive yes, well, quote-unquote is the perfect way to put that, and he, quite frankly, executed it to perfection.

Speaker 2:

The person who wasn't supposed to die didn't die. The person who did die, who was supposed to die, did die, because the same exact and the same exact thing that was that happened to, uh, vegapunk was gonna happen to Bonnie yeah, nah.

Speaker 1:

Um, that was clearly someone who could not have been taken.

Speaker 2:

Exactly or couldn't have been lost. Exactly, and it was one of those moments where, with Zoro tying up Luchi, everything fell on Sanji, because Luffy can't stop Luffy's the muscle, he has to be at the front.

Speaker 1:

He's fighting the Goroseis, as is keeping them at bay for as long as he needed.

Speaker 2:

He has to be there. And sanji essentially became the de facto director of the program for the straw hats between him and nami, directing the others when they were in the lab of phase. Between the two of them, it it was communication. He was the one managing zoro's time. He was the man, he was the one managing the lives of the people that were imminently in the battlefield. He ate the freaking psycho punch from uh saturn like it was nothing. Bro crunch nothing like stuff.

Speaker 1:

He also took a stab, too, from um what's his face?

Speaker 2:

dude's too clean, bro. Nami's in trouble. Everybody's cooked s shark's about to take them out. Who comes in in with the Mr Studley face and the dropkick of the century, bro? Come on, bro. If Sanji was not present for this arc, zoro doesn't know when to leave his fight.

Speaker 1:

Well, no, they had Jinbei, Because Nami did send Jinbei to go ahead and Because Sanji told her to. Fair enough.

Speaker 2:

Because Sanji told her to. Fair enough, because sanji told her to. There's so many little things that wouldn't have went on properly if sanji was not the one directing the affair. So I'm gonna give sanji my most clutch for the arc, because the person who would have been my most clutch is my MVP. He was in second place but he got it anyway, because I don't want to give two awards to the same person. Go ahead.

Speaker 1:

Kizaru.

Speaker 2:

Your most clutch is Kizaru. I love it.

Speaker 1:

We're on the same page, bro. He wanted to do the job, though, but he did the job he didn't like the job, bro.

Speaker 2:

He didn't like the job at all. I've never seen somebody have such a bad time at work and Shut up. I've never seen somebody have such a bad time.

Speaker 1:

He was, bro, over here talking spicy. You ain't had to put your friend in a pack, I'm just saying bro.

Speaker 2:

I got a lot of respect for that man Off two bars, bro, I'll fuck with it, man, he's very good Zero's clean. Yes, I also think he. I don't mind that because I have a theory in my head.

Speaker 1:

He's on defect.

Speaker 2:

I think he's already defected personally. I think he's already defected personally. I think he's already defected. I think he is. I think he was in on everything. That's me personally. I think it's just yet to be revealed another one of those things where just wait just just wait, let it cook an oven yes oh yeah, nah, it's good.

Speaker 1:

I also think too for the Marines just as a whole. They're not nearly as what you call it. They're not nearly as on the same page as they was like when they was under Sengoku's leadership.

Speaker 2:

No, there's definitely too much instability in the Admiral category.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

There are too many people thinking differently and moving differently.

Speaker 1:

Fujiizaru smoker, although he like, don't really matter all too much, hold was a wild dog pretty much, where he just don't, he don't care, like he don't care for, like the um, the bs that the government would usually do to be fair, he's on his way to G5.

Speaker 2:

He's on his way to G5. Let's be real. There there's going to need to be a Marine presence in LBATH. Lbath is not very far from G5 in that game.

Speaker 1:

That would be a cool or interesting way of getting him right back up in the fold, because we haven't seen him since it's been a couple of months the arcs.

Speaker 2:

The last time we saw him was um what you call it punk hazard.

Speaker 1:

Right, yes, when he got.

Speaker 2:

Uh, yeah, going out bad man all right, so the final award um I don't know we got two, but best moments Unless.

Speaker 1:

You know you already spoke about some of the moments. Want to do one-on-one.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, what's yours?

Speaker 1:

Hmm, I guess best moment would probably be Damn, damn man. Now I'm thinking back on it. This was a fire arc Cracked.

Speaker 2:

Cracked.

Speaker 1:

Rob Lucci fight. Well, wasn't really much of a fight though, but the beating just seen the sauce getting sauced up the beating I guess the best moment we could put down, at least for me, seeing the girls they actually you know pop up because we always usually see them from the back end. They're always usually talking about you back. Politics is always happening in the background. They just talking, they yapping. Usually for most of it they don't take action. So for this to be something where not one, but all five of them had to come, step down from all the way up there to handle this is crazy.

Speaker 2:

To be fair, the marines were getting dog walked there's nothing that they could have done. The marines they were getting dog walk out of their league.

Speaker 1:

Just too powerful, bro out of their league just too powerful but yes, them coming down, and then not only just coming down and showing like little glimpse, they actually transformed, they showed out bro, I remember the week that joint came out I saw that last panel.

Speaker 2:

I was like satanic rituals sigils demons.

Speaker 1:

I'm like one piece.

Speaker 2:

what am I watching? What am I reading? What's happening right now? It was very, very, very unexpected, and the whole way they were introduced without being like named as Devil Fruit users was particularly interesting.

Speaker 1:

Also seeing those hideous forms and getting clapped up man, terrible.

Speaker 2:

Funny.

Speaker 1:

You call it terrible, I call it funny. No, that's hilarious. I mean it's terrible for that one guy. He's just like what the fuck?

Speaker 2:

Oh, this is perfect. This is a perfect segue. You know what my favorite moment is?

Speaker 1:

What.

Speaker 2:

Do you remember when they killed Vegapunk and the announcement starts? Remember when Luffy said yo, sanji dip out of here, bro, I got this. He said yo, oh, and he held him down. You're not going anywhere, bro.

Speaker 1:

Grabbed up. Kizaru held down Saturn.

Speaker 2:

Proceeds to yeet Kizar to back to the ship he came from. Not a metaphor, by the way literal yeeted him into the ship he came from and then turns saturn into a pizza and sails him off into the sunset literally had one person seeing stars and the other person as flat as a pizza.

Speaker 2:

Peak bro, peak Luffy behavior. And another reason it was so good for me is because it showed an aspect that people are very worried about with Gear 5. Where they feel like he can't be serious. Several times in this arc Luffy got very angry and it showed in his form. There was a point and it came across better in the anime because they colored it there was a point in the anime where he was very upset and he flashed into gear five and he was colored and his hair was red like fire. Yes, so if you're really that worried about it, I don't think you should be. I think when the moment comes and he needs to be serious we saw it on wano, we saw it in egghead several times the tone of whatever the narrative demands is what oda will give us. He's been doing it for so long.

Speaker 1:

Please shut up he's just gonna be on his jokey shit though, but he's going to be serious though.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

He's still going to be jokey, though. You're just going to have to firm that.

Speaker 2:

Exactly All right. So final award MVP let's do it.

Speaker 1:

All right, I already know your MVP, though, but who's your MVP? I have two, oh, okay.

Speaker 2:

Luffy. Oh okay, luffy and vega punk, they can share it because my goodness, bro, my goodness, the way that the amount of information you got it wasn't like people. The message. I don't think the message was for us. That's how I view the message. The message was not for us. The message is for the one piece world. A lot of the things in the message were things that was already speculated through the community or at least hinted at not just speculated but was confirmed and extremely obvious.

Speaker 2:

There have been cover pages where jimba was exploring ruins at the bottom of the ocean, which clearly indicates some kind of tid title shift in the environment. There was also, um, uh, what's the prison called impel down, not the prison, the where robin was, and he's lobby. Oh, and he's yeah, and he's lobby. Come on, bro, we just saw lucia. We just saw lucia. Everything is there, it's in your face, and egghead was just the moment where vega punk told the world not us. We were supposed to already know this. There were a few key details, particularly about the mother flame. There's a theory about that that I'll probably introduce next episode, but, um, things like this. It just made veapunk so much better for me and the fact that His whole plan oh, he's eyes in his whole.

Speaker 1:

According to plan, Bro, every single.

Speaker 2:

He left with his money, he left with the world government's money, he left with the straw hats in his pocket, bro, and if he and I'm gonna be real with you, lilith is gonna be a straw hat.

Speaker 1:

So is.

Speaker 2:

Bonnie, so is Bonnie. I think Bonnie will stay with a straw has as a cabin boy. It's not momonosuke, I think it will be Bonnie. I well, it can't be monosuke, because he got a country to lead that everybody thought it would be momonosuke I knew it wouldn't be momonosuke it was never gonna be that way he'd have to abandon Wano yeah, yeah, no, you would have to take up after his dad, exactly he's doing his well not terrible for his character arc.

Speaker 1:

He has to do his duties. Bonnie's is perfect. She's not gonna literally get tied down to anything.

Speaker 2:

So yeah, she is for you um a free agent, so to speak yes, and I think luffy's role as the sun god this arc made it so much more apparent that that is nika, the person he is seen as and the person he actually is are in complete conflict, and I don't think they will be aligned. I don't think there is a reason for Luffy to oppose the world government. I think there will be, but it doesn't exist right now and I don't think what people are seeing of Sun God, nika, is what Luffy is going to be hit to and I don't think he'll ever be that way. And in spite of all that, everything he did in the ark was sun god. Nika, he's not him and he is him at the same time, and it really just it's a perfect symbolism he reminds everybody of nika and stuff like that.

Speaker 1:

Just from the way he moves antics, I should say being free Luffy is literally about freedom. He's free. He's the truest sense of Nika, if anything it's amazing man. It was a great arc and both of them played their roles to perfection yeah, I can definitely see him like that's not his ulterior goal freedom, like you said, fighting against the world government, but I see that being a thing that happens.

Speaker 2:

It just attaches on.

Speaker 1:

This is again the same person who will fight you for just giving him a little morsel of crumb. Honestly, we need Luffy, so just feed him something, bro. Yeah, that's a fact, luffy, so he Just feed him something bro yeah. So he can overthrow the government, you know.

Speaker 2:

He's him bro. Yeah, he's him All right. So who's your MVP?

Speaker 1:

MVP. Hmm, I'm going to give this to the collective of the Straw Hats because everybody Granted some did have lesser roles for this in particular. I think, all in all, everybody did kind of when it needed to held on through, did what they needed to do. That is a fact, like when what's called Saturn came up, for example, on Saturn, and you have, like, the three weakest trying to protect Robin.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, that was a great moment.

Speaker 1:

Everybody know like they can't handle this demon, but they was still like yo. If it's for Robin, nah we gonna scrap bro, get behind. We got this.

Speaker 2:

This was a very pure Straw Hat experience and a pure Straw Hat performance, because this was obviously. This arc is juxtaposed to sabote. Yeah, so to see where you come from, where the person who saved you was the person who literally drove the fear of god into you, and now you're protecting him, his legacy and his child, and you're doing it not in the face of one admiral, you're doing it in the face of the exact same admiral who also drove the fear of God into you in Sabote and the Gorose.

Speaker 1:

Well yeah, it was very good everybody everybody, when they needed to, kind of clutched up to do what they needed to do.

Speaker 2:

I like that pick. Like that pick honorable. I like that pick. Honorable mention to the faction that pulled up. That's all I'll say. I didn't want to put a bit of my supporting shit because I didn't want to like spoil that one.

Speaker 1:

No, no, no, they needed them.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely best supporting character type energy bro. But you'll see, you shall see, all right.

Speaker 1:

Had a crazy episode, a jam-packed episode.

Speaker 2:

I'm doing a fun episode. It's been cool. Fuck, he was cussing a lot.

Speaker 1:

So crazy, crazy episode for the 15th.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's a long one too. Hope you guys enjoy. At least Try to be as relaxed as possible today Anyway.

Speaker 1:

Starting the fall. Can we even call this fall right now what? It's still summer till end of summer Hell no, it's like 60 degrees today.
