Speaker 3So the third party , yeah , just different just a few different systems , so if you didn't like the core gameplay , isn't really gonna change anything for you , but if you like the core gameplay , you're just looking for a better experience overall . Speaker 3I got my own little tickle this morning . I first woke up this morning before recording . They dropped the Charge Blade gameplay and it looks so spectacular , so clean . I saw at least two new guard points , maybe three if my eyes don't deceive me . The Savage Axe is back . There's some like they seem to have iterated on the Axe gameplay , so it's more fluid , yeah .
Speaker 3And the Axe gameplay actually uses the shield as a guard point . Now that's what it's doing , bro . It actually looks like it could be very , very fluid and very , very viable . In the same way , they made the Switch axe more fluid in uh , rise and sunbreak , because from right from world to rise and sunbreak , on um switch axes and um rise and sunbreak .

Let's just ask , because it is an interesting question Power systems . People love to power scale . Don't know why , but it seems to be at the forefront of everybody's cortex in life recently . So I wanted to pick everybody's reign . What makes your favorite power system so good , you know so ?

Balanced and Creative Power Systems
Speaker 1If something's too convoluted it can easily get messy With the world .
Speaker 3That is fair . Once your power system Starts doing too much , it gets a little bit harder to track too .
Speaker 1Yeah , there has to be some level of groundedness .

Speaker 3I mean , I don't want to sidetrack , but I think that might be part of what people Dislike about the Sukuna stuff too Feels like the system Is so loose that he's just exploiting it .

Speaker 3Well , yeah , digi said that the power system , that multiple general techniques and depth in a character's ability should show variety among the different different characters . So characters being able to like , use that while how creative they can use the power within the exactly like more than one concept within this power system and being able to use the power system at use those concepts at a higher level to like show , like the distinction in their ability . So , yeah , I feel like that's very good . Uh , who , who does that really good really well to know then , yeah , hunter , hunter .
Speaker 3Yes , hey , get a little note . So multiple things to learn , like abilities to sense things , creating a nen barrier while creating their own abilities can be very unique and become better with the , the vile system , with the vile system . I'm not super familiar with nen , but I know that is good yeah , some people they their .
Speaker 3The abilities are always like super diverse , like uh , netero with the buddhist , uh techniques . And then I heard there was another chick who could like um , what's she doing ? She could like reanimate uh , uh corpses and shit or like some kind of manipulation technique . Speaker 3Seeing a character really like excel at using the concepts in the power system really does make it seem like fulfilling yeah because then it really is . It gives it layers exactly like you know you could really tell a character's like a badass . They put the work in . That is always something rewarding to see . Yeah , nah , all right , uh who else ?

He didn't go really all too much in it , though , but main things that he wanted to harp on was balance , consistency and originality . Those are the things he finds make a good power system yeah , that seems similar to what digi is saying too .
Speaker 3Like originality , uh , balance is really good . I think that's something that should always be considered , because then you don't want like bro , you could . You could be creative and , like , push the limits , but like also not one thing be too exploitable , that could be problematic . Oh , you know who does diversity and creativity really well ? Who Bleach , bleach was diverse . Yeah , yeah , there's a lot of solid core concept like Flash , Step , Reatsu , Control , Hado Kido . So if you're not interested in that like conversational kind of style anime , because there's very few different settings , there's not a lot of different characters involved , it's mostly interactions between him and her and a few other side characters here there . She gets rejected by her childhood best friend for her best friend . So she's distraught about it . And but she's stuck between them because childhood best friend for her best friend . So she's distraught about it . But she's stuck between them because childhood best friend plus her female best friend . Now they're together . Blah , blah , blah . Whatever drama , blah , blah , blah . But he also starts to befriend this other chick who's in his literature club who gets rejected by one of the presidents in the literature club because they're dating someone else in the literature club . You see what I'm saying . It's like everybody knows everybody , everybody likes everybody , and he just happens to be befriending the people who are getting rejected . So now he has this weird little harem of sorts . It's mad funny bro . There's this little the tropey black tomboy girl , the shy weeby girl and then the popular pretty chick , the interactions they get into . It's bad funny .
Speaker 3Right now it's a little tidbit mackinac is going through like the stages of depression almost and now she's in the phase where she's like accepting it , bro , when I tell you she pulled out a self-help book and started floating in the air lights behind her , like oh started floating in the air lights behind her like , oh sure it is , man , I'm over , bro , it's actually really funny .
Speaker 3It's really charming , uh , very funny . The characters are very lovable , so that was very interesting to check out . Uh , on the action front , uh , you know my hero's continuing . Speaker 3You know they do the out of order thing with the episodes . Right now I think episode one that's listed on Crunchyroll is technically episode three , so I just want to watch them in order when it's all over . I'm not going to bust my brain doing that . There's also the Elusive Samurai . I haven't started it , but it looks good holding my breath . Very pretty to look at , very pretty to look at kind of slow to start gonna go back and watch it once .

It wasn't like oh my god , I love you , uraraka . Oh my god , I love you . No , no , there's subtlety in writing . There is something to be said to like showing instead of telling . You know what I mean . If you can't like . I feel like a lot of people , especially now with uh manga and anime , they want to be like told everything instead of shown some things , and I feel like the best writers are able to show better than they're able to tell , and the best stories are told . When you're showing rather than telling . I don't want to like . I don't want to need to have full bricks of text to explain certain things that's happening . I mean , hey , this is one of those things . I felt like it was much better to get that chapter where uh deku talks to her .
Speaker 1He expresses how he feels his gratefulness and says hey , basically , yo , you're my hero besides , I'm at this point , I'm pretty sure that , like wherever the manga failed or didn't give enough to , I'm pretty sure , when it's time for the anime to get to it , it'd probably be like a little bit more maybe not so much , but a little bit more with um , with the pacing with it yes , that I could definitely see them like stretch it out and give like anime only type scenes yeah , I have every confidence that they're gonna patch up the places where we feel like could have been patched up , because they already started doing it .
Speaker 3To be honest , if you've seen the last , the last episode- let's go , yeah , last up I think it was the vercular last episode because , yeah , last episode of my hero in the anime . It was the scene where bakugo starts to be resuscitated after he's dead .
Speaker 1Quote-unquote A little information about Ed Shot .
Speaker 3Yeah , so the Ed Shot reveal how his powers work , what he's planning to do . The way they approached it in the anime felt substantially better handled than the way it was approached in the manga . And it felt like there was more exposition and more like focus put on the revival and how they were trying to do it to better justify the fact that it did happen in the first place . Yeah , reading weekly didn't feel great .
Speaker 1You're also coming to the point where , like , deku was visibly gone from the war for like a good length when you're reading it , because doing the whole um , the whole fight , he's already risked the way um in the portal and um dabi , their whole resolution endeavor and the other thing , because it is jumping like how it was in the manga too , though . But you then you then wait so long . After something like that happens , deku then finally comes in . So it's like now we have to show more points with Deku in this bit , because this is where we was drawing up how it was done , addressing it realistically , had to force something like that to even exist . So , yeah , how it was done , addressing it , yeah , realistically , it had to force something like that to even exist or even be a thing . Realistically , it would have to like attend to that much sooner than a later type thing .
Speaker 3Yeah , so there's definitely some justifications as to why people may not be happy with the ending . Personally , holistically looking at it , I think the trajectory of the story was on point yeah , I think it did the story yeah it . It got home . How it was executed , the way there the bakugou thing may not have been the best . I , I don't , I don't love it I'm not hung up on it , honestly yeah , it's not .
Speaker 3It didn't ruin the ending for me , but I don't love it either . Um , I really do like the ending , though , the way things ended with how the deku started out workless , gained a quirk not of his own , optimize the quirk even beyond reasoning , even to the point where even the people who the quirks belong to were like yo . The way you use quirks it's like you're worshiping the quirk . It's not like the power is something for you to , it's not just lost yeah , like every aspect he sees values in it exactly and it's not like uh one for all's quirks were individually overpowered .
Speaker 3Obviously the stockpiling made it overpowered , but as individual quirks they're very like flawed . But he picked every aspect of every quirk up and used it to cover the flaws of the other quirks , to make sure that he was like peak efficiency . But his body wasn't all my level body , his , his uh age wasn't all my age when all might fought one for all .
Speaker 1Imagine if he had it , if imagine if he continued to still have it but he had like all the time , like them all , like how all might had time to at least have all from one train up and do all that stuff . If deku had , even just because this all has happened in like what in his first year well , no , uh , second year .
Speaker 3Well , they didn't have the ceremony to switch over , but technically they would have been second years if school was continuing , yeah , yeah . So now at the end , where it ended in , uh , real time in the story , it was able after the war , that's when they had the ceremonies to transition the second year . So technically they should have been second years , but there was no school .
Speaker 1So no , but still doing a damn good job honestly he was mastering not just one quirk , that you thought was literally just one quirk , but ended up being like four or five other different ones exactly exactly he really Exactly .
Speaker 3He really was like a . He was a very versatile main character , like really one of those people where intelligence wasn't like just something . You say , oh yeah , no , he was a really smart character . No , he like there was never a point where he , like didn't adapt to a fight , and that was really cool to see from Deku and for that to come up in the final fight .
Speaker 3So many times figuring out how to use his quirk to counter uh all for one achieve that goal , bro , he did the damn thing when he started breaking down , had to toss quirks out , and the way he used black whip around his body to afford to fight . Bro deku was just built different , bro .
Speaker 1He was just built different , it's gonna be nice when they finally animate it .
Speaker 3Yup , and stuff like that is an example of why we think Horikoshi should do like horror man , cause those , those panels were crazy , absolutely crazy . It really is like an exciting end to the story .
Speaker 1Like I said , I think it , I think it did good . It's not like the 100% best ending , and there's also some things that I feel , too , that I would rather wish or had hope for differently , but ultimately , all in all , it was all right .
Speaker 3There were some show don't tell things that I wish I had been shown and not told , like the stuff about Bakugou and Shoto , how they were progressing through the ranks and how their ranks related to each other . Yeah , bakugou is up there , but his like stuff like that . Show me , show me .
Speaker 1Yeah , I want you to show me .
Speaker 2I hope that I had wished for just more just a little bit more of this going on with this .
Speaker 1I want to see everybody striving , doing their thing A little bit more information .
Speaker 3Exactly . I really love the very last part where it's like the end and then all my face is like bang just pops in . It's like , ah , you thought , and then he shows you everything else that was really crack , but also show me the soup . I want to see the soup , which is why I want to follow up .
Speaker 3Even if it's not like you know , it'll be crack a follow up movie I think a follow-up movie might be nice follow-up movie where they're all adults and they have like one last big like battle they have to go I think that would be nice .
Speaker 1I don't know if they would do such a thing , because I think if I'm seeing like a my hero movie because I'm pretty sure like what , this one that they got going on right now , that's , I think , should be coming out in a couple of weeks or something like that um , we're obviously going to get another one from this , like this isn't going to be the end . We're going to get another movie , but damn , a movie where they're a bit older .

I thought the way they recreated the ending scene to create that dichotomy with the way he met all might and all might decided to give him the quirk he met uh crap , what's his name ? Who the ? Plates on his head , yeah , so the way he met him and how that was really cool . I did enjoy , I did a little bit of homage yeah , man it .
Speaker 3It hit all the emotional notes I . I just really do wish it had like an extra chapter too . Yeah . I'd have loved to seen how some of the people grow up Like Mirio . Mirio is one of my favorites . I'd have loved to see him as the number one hero . What his new outfit look like ? Yeah . Speaking of new outfits , Shinzo Shinzo looks so cool .
